How to read an EV Grids charging stop card

The planner is only useful if you know what the card is claiming. This is the field-by-field guide so you do not treat a heuristic as a reservation.

Arrival SOC and energy

Arrival % is estimated from your start SOC, Wh/km, and the driving polyline. If you then exceed the assumed speed or sit in traffic with AC, you will beat the estimate in the wrong direction. Charge earlier if the dashboard disagrees.

kW, connectors, cost

kW is listed or inferred station maximum, often shared across guns. Connectors must match your inlet. Estimated ₹/kWh is frequently inferred from the operator name. The app and the pole win arguments.

Badges and busy

Green / amber / red combine ratings, operational status, admin alerts, and live busy when counts exist. Amber unverified means thin evidence. Red with a backup available means use the backup.

Primary vs backup vs Maps

Primary is the ranked suggestion. Backup is your insurance. Google Maps only knows the waypoints you selected. If you never tapped a backup, Maps cannot save you. Read charger data & accuracy for the honesty policy.

Share the same card

If two people argue about which charger to use, share the trip link. The stop card is the artefact. Changing a backup on one phone should be the plan, not a parallel WhatsApp guess that Maps never receives.
