First EV weekend from Hyderabad — Vijayawada, Bangalore, or Vizag?

Hyderabad drivers have three classic first long drives. They are not equal exams. Pick the one that matches your car and your patience.

Vijayawada (~275 km) — the shakedown

NH65, often one stop or none in a mid-size EV. Best first exam. Practice backups and the operator app. If this already feels chaotic, do not book Goa next weekend.

Bangalore (~570 km) — the standard long day

NH44/NH48, Kurnool–Anantapur thinking, usually one or two DC stops. Good second trip. Summer AC is real. Weekend plaza queues are real. This is the default ‘I have an EV now’ highway.

Vizag (~620 km) — coastal and longer

NH65 toward the coast. Humidity and a longer day. Fine as a third trip. Charge strategy is town belts (Vijayawada / Rajahmundry-side), not hope.

What to skip first

Goa ghats and Mumbai in one push. Those are later. Use Hyderabad corridor pages, Plan now, 90% start, 20% reserve, backups on every stop.

After the weekend

Write down Wh/km and whether backups were needed. That note is worth more than another blog. Then pick Bangalore or Vizag. Goa stays later until ghats feel normal in a petrol memory and an EV dashboard.
